The three Ganeshas in a shared orbit are an exploration in multiplicity. This work makes us dwell on the very name Ganesha. It comes from the Sanskrit word Gana meaning “ hosts, multitudes, troops, categories,” and isa meaning “Lord or ruler.” The three Ganeshas reflect the interpretation of philosophers. The ganas interpret the earthly existence of human beings. In that classification or categorisation to be a Gana-pati is to be a Gana-isa is to be creator, preserver and organiser of one’s world.
